Serumserinproteaser som medverkar vid komplementaktivering. De aktiveras vid komplexbildning med mannosbindande lektin och benämns därför "Mannose-binding protein-Associated Serine Proteases" (MASP-proteaser). De klyver komplement C4 och komplement C2 till C4b2a, den klassiska aktiveringsvägens C3-konvertas (EC 3.4.21.43). EC 3.4.21.104.
Serum serine proteases which participate in COMPLEMENT ACTIVATION. They are activated when complexed with the MANNOSE-BINDING LECTIN, therefore also known as Mannose-binding protein-Associated Serine Proteases (MASPs). They cleave COMPLEMENT C4 and COMPLEMENT C2 to form C4b2a, the CLASSICAL PATHWAY C3 CONVERTASE.
