Förlust eller nedsättning av förmågan att skriva (bokstäver, stavelser, ord eller fraser) på grund av skador i ett visst område i hjärnan eller ibland på grund av känslomässiga faktorer. Detta tillstånd uppkommer sällan isolerat, utan uppstår ofta tillsammans med afasi.
Loss or impairment of the ability to write (letters, syllables, words, or phrases) due to an injury to a specific cerebral area or occasionally due to emotional factors.
