Svensk definition
Ett tillstånd som huvudsakligen utmärker sig genom hudförtjockning på huvudet och distala extremiteter, djupa veck och fåror på pannan, kinderna och skalpen, (seborrisk dermatit), överdriven svettning, överdriven tillväxt på de långa benen, förtjockning av fingrar och naglar och spadliknande förstoring av händer och fötter. Det vanligast förekommande bland män och framträder oftast under tonåren. Arv är i första hand autosomalt recessiv, men det finns också en autosomal dominant form.

A condition chiefly characterized by thickening of the skin of the head and distal extremities, deep folds and furrows of the skin of the forehead, cheeks, and scalp, SEBORRHEA; HYPERHIDROSIS; periostosis of the long bones, digital clubbing, and spadelike enlargement of the hands and feet. It is more prevalent in the male, and is usually first evident during adolescence. Inheritance is primarily autosomal recessive, but an autosomal dominant form exists.
