Infektion i gallgångarna, orsakad av levermasken Clonorchis sinensis, även kallad Opisthorchis sinensis. Infektionen kan leda till inflammation i gallvägarna, tillväxt av gallvägsepitel, fortskridande portal fibros och ibland gallgångskarcinom. Spridning till levern kan ge fettvävnad och cirros (skrumplever).
Infection of the biliary passages with CLONORCHIS SINENSIS, also called Opisthorchis sinensis. It may lead to inflammation of the biliary tract, proliferation of biliary epithelium, progressive portal fibrosis, and sometimes bile duct carcinoma.
