Ett släkte av familjen Poxviridae, underfamiljen Chordopoxvirinae, omfattande koppvirus som infekterar får, getter och nötkreatur. Överföring av smitta sker vanligen med insekter, men kan också ske ge nom kontakt, via luften eller olika persedlar.
A genus of the family POXVIRIDAE, subfamily CHORDOPOXVIRINAE, comprising poxviruses infecting sheep, goats, and cattle. Transmission is usually mechanical by arthropods, but also includes contact, airborne routes, and non-living reservoirs (fomites).
